I wrote Dear Young Girl out of a deep passion to spark honest, necessary conversations around identity, self-worth, heartbreak, and purpose. Growing up comes with complex decisions, and my goal is to turn lived experience and lessons learned into practical wisdom for the next generation.
Building a legacy beyond the pages of a book.
Born and raised in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, I observed firsthand how societal expectations shape a young girl’s understanding of womanhood. After matriculating at Parkhill High School, my journey led me to pursue Senior Phase Education at the University of the Free State. My experience navigating ambition, identity, and adulthood fuels my commitment to guiding the next generation.
Through school visits, practical workshops, and community outreach initiatives, I am dedicated to equipping young girls with the tools, confidence, and educational encouragement needed to make courageous life choices and build futures they truly believe in

Dear Young Girl was born from a simple but powerful question: what would change in a young girl’s life if she learned, early enough, that her life is bigger than the expectations placed on her?

“Dear Young Girl” sounds like a letter from someone who cares enough to tell you the truth before the world teaches you its version of it. It is personal, warm, and a direct conversation meant to guide you through the noise of modern expectations
You do not have to wait for someone to choose you before you decide that your life matters.
This project exists to remind young women that marriage is not the prize, attention is not validation, and luxury is not identity. You are allowed to grow, to take your education and dreams seriously, and to build a life that is truly meaningful to you
